Halfway Through the Dark!

Hello Everyone!
Happy Holidays!
It has been a bit chilly today, so I think that I will knit a bit.  I've been knitting a lovely spiral hat pattern in my 60 Quick knits book out of some beautiful Dream in Color Lunar Zazzle that I purchased with some of my Christmas money.  I got the Knitter's Book of Yarn , some beautiful stitch markers, and some peppermint from my Secret Santa Yelley.  DH got me a knitting journal and a pink sock monkey hat.  I have a little bit of money left for a bit more yarn.

I am planning to knit some hats for charity Friday night to bring in the new year!

Helping out at The Urban Sheep!

Hello Everyone!  My LYS, The Urban Sheep, has closed and will be opening up soon at a new location in Roseburg Square!  I've been helping out at the new location this week with painting and assembling furniture.  Yesterday, I got to help out with putting the yarn on the shelves!  Today, I had a cavity filled and I wasn't able to go and help out.  The grand opening is scheduled for 11/26/10!

Fun Things to do in October!

I love this time of year!  There's a cool nip in the air and I have thoughts of hot chocolate and mulled apple cider.  We don't have the nip in the air today.  In fact the air conditioner is on right this very minute, but a girl can dream of fun things to do in the fall.....
Yesterday, I went to a planning meeting with DH.  It was a planning meeting for this
This event is open to families and friends of all ages!
I've even volunteered.  I'm not going to share any of the details, but I will be helping out in the Haunted House!  It is going to be fun!

Another Event that I'd love to attend is The All Hallows Fantasy Faire on October 23rd & 24th at the Sonora Fair Grounds.  The Faire is deeply rooted in the beliefs of the Celtic people, but combined with all the fun and excitement of a modern Halloween.  There's even a midway for kids!

For your knitting enjoyment.  I found  Rachel's Mystery Dishcloth Knit Along ~ October 2010.   The knit along starts October 18!

I think that I will go have some chilled apple cider and dream of Fall.....

Etsy in the News

Yesterday I was amazed to find an article about local Etsy sellers in the Modesto Bee.  I was excited to see the article.  I know there are lots of people who sell on Etsy, but I have never done a local search for stores.  I searched local for Modesto, Ca and came up with 4 pages of Etsy stores.

Here are a few interesting ones that I found.

CrimsonEtClover
This shop sells B*earWarmers and Rainbow scarves.  The crocheted B*earWarmers are adorable!!  They are a must have accessory to raise one's cuteness level.

EarthborneArt
This shop features upcycled dishes that are handmade from an impression of a vintage textile in clay.  You can, also, find beautiful clay pendants.

SewBitchy
This shop features redesigned clothing and accessories with attitude.  I love the toddler dresses and the bags!  You can also follow this designer on The Salvaged Stitch blog   where I found cute harness dresses for little dogs and on Facebook by doing a search for SewBitchy Clothing and Handbags.

Bonkers Boutique
This shop is run by a Mompreneur who make tote bags, lunch bags, and cute cloth napkins!  I especially love the pirate themed reuseable sandwich and snack bag!!

It was so much fun checking out the local Etsy sellers.  I found items that I love!

Until Next Time.....

Have a beautiful Day!

Breakfast!

This morning I got up early and made French Toast and Buckwheat Pancakes for everyone!  My MIL has been wanting buckwheat pancakes for a long time and I was able to find the mix when I went shopping on Friday.  I even had a tiny bit of pancake batter left over to make Sweet Pea a tiny pancake. :)

This is a good photo of Sweet Pea munching on a peanut:

Yesterday I went to The Urban Sheep to knit.  I love knitting at the shop.  You get a chance to visit with friends and check out the yarn in the shop.  I finally started my sweater.
My February Lady :)

It is always fun to hear what everyone is knitting.  It took me a little while to cast on the first stitches in between visiting with my knitting friends.  I counted my stitches a few times to make sure that I had the correct amount.
Casting On My Sweater

This is my 1st adult size sweater.  I am going to take my time since I have several projects to do between now and Januaray 2011.  I have at least 3 more baby sweaters to do.  I also want to make some baby hats and booties for a craft fair that is coming up in November.  I've written two of my own baby hat patterns that I want to use, and I am going to modify the baby bootie pattern that I have been using to match one of the hats.

Have a Beautiful Day !

Angelbibity Designs has a New Blogging Home!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my new Blog!

Last Thursday, I was at The Village Bakery with some of my knitting friends.  My friend Kara shared her new Kindle with us.  I love it!  I hope that I can get one for myself in the near future.  She also has a nice leather cover to go with it. I think that all of us were green with envy.

At the knitting group, I worked on a pair of  fingerless mitts for a dear friend's daughter.  Also in my knitting bag, are fingerless mitts for myself and DH.  I must get them finished before I start on my February Lady Sweater in Ruby Red Lana D' Oro!

Have a Beautiful Day!
